The mission of Carthage Historic Preservation is to advocate for historic preservation at the local, state, and national levels, to demonstrate period-appropriate historic preservation techniques, and to educate our community about the economic, ecological, and cultural benefits of historic preservation.
CITY-WIDE YARD SALE

Do you have items in your house that no longer bring you joy? Do you want to avoid the hassle of setting up a yard sale? CHP will once again participate in the city-wide yard sale on May 4th. Donate your items to CHP! All proceeds will assist with maintenance of the historic Phelps House. Tax receipt available upon request. NO CLOTHES PLEASE!

CHP is often asked for assistance in finding someone who can help with repairs or renovation of an historic home or building. We are looking for individuals and companies who appreciate the vision of an original builder and who understand the challenges and rewards of preserving a historic building. To that end, CHP is creating a RESOURCE LIST of skilled professionals experienced in working on historic homes and buildings. ​
