11:00 am to 12:30 pm on
Saturday May 14th

Seated under the big tent at Knell's 308 West Chestnut

While we wait for the soldiers to arrive, we will enjoy these victuals
(also known as "vittles" by some),

Squirrel Stew and Union Hardtack (biscuits and sausage gravy)
Country Ham, Redeye Gravy and Confederate Johnnie Cakes
Iron Kettle Cooked Peach and Berry Cobblers
Cider and Camp Coffee
$6.00 per person (under 6 free)

Listen to musical entertainment, and visit with some special guests.

Often during the real Civil war, spectators brought picnic baskets and came out to watch the conflict. CHP members and their families will have front row viewing of the battle in Central Park during the Sesquicentennial Battle of Carthage Reenactment. Bring a lawn chair to reserve your viewing spot. Period attire encouraged.

Parking will be reserved for CHP members. For information call 358-9688
